About the Role

The Draftsman will be responsible for producing accurate and detailed technical drawings based on architects' designs and specifications. This role is crucial in translating conceptual ideas into buildable documents, ensuring clarity and precision throughout the project lifecycle.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare detailed architectural drawings, including plans, elevations, sections, details, and schedules, based on sketches, specifications, and instructions from architects.

  • Utilize CAD software (primarily AutoCAD, and preferably Revit) to create and modify drawings.

  • Ensure all drawings are accurate, to scale, and comply with relevant building codes, standards, and regulations in India.

  • Maintain organized drawing files and project documentation.

  • Collaborate effectively with architects, project managers, and other team members to ensure seamless information flow.

  • Assist in the preparation of presentation drawings and other visual aids as needed.

  • Review and revise drawings based on feedback from architects and project managers.

  • Manage drawing revisions and maintain up-to-date drawing sets.

  • Assist with printing, plotting, and distribution of drawings.

  • Perform other related drafting and technical tasks as assigned.


Basic Requirements:

  • Diploma or certification in Drafting, Architecture or a related field.

  • Proven proficiency in AutoCAD (sample of work demonstrating your CAD skills will be highly valued).

  • Strong understanding of architectural drafting standards, symbols, and conventions.

  • Ability to interpret architectural sketches, specifications, and verbal instructions accurately.

  • Good understanding of building materials and construction details.

  • Attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy in all work.

  • Good organizational and time management skills.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Basic written and verbal communication skills in English.


Preferred Skills (These are a plus):

  • Proficiency in Revit (BIM software).

  • Experience working on large-scale residential, commercial, or institutional projects.

  • Familiarity with Indian building codes and standards (e.g., NBC).

  • Experience with plotting and printing architectural drawings.

  • Any previous experience working in an architectural firm.
